• Butter - 1 cup
  • Granulated Sugar - 1 cup
  • Flour - 2 1/2 cups
  • Vanilla - 1 tsp
  • Currants - 3/4 cup

These cookies are simple to make but can become addictive.

Preheat oven to 350°F. Prepare a large cookie sheet by greasing.

Sift flour and set aside. In medium mixing bowl, whip butter, sugar and vanilla till light and smooth. Add flour and currants and stir in with large spoon until well combined. Place teaspoonfuls of the batter at even distances on the cookie sheet.

Bake in preheated oven for 12-14 minutes until edges are browned. Take out of oven and lift cookies off sheet immediately with a spatula or they will stick and break up if you try to remove them after they cool. Cool cookies completely.

Makes about 3 dozen.
